Barbara Droge

     Barbara Droge, 78, of Sioux Center, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Pleasant Acres Care Center of Hull, Iowa.

     A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center, IA.

     Barbara Droge Hefty, age 78 of Sioux Center, died on June 24, 2018 at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, IA, cared for by their wonderful staff. The daughter of Peter and Sophia Mikula Hefty, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Galen C. Droge; her brothers and sisters, Robert Hefty, Warren Hefty, Sr., Peter Hefty, Donald Hefty, Joyce Pellman, Sophia Phillips, Marilyn Ide, Gladys Cramer both John and Delores Hefty who died as infants.

    
     Barbara was born October 21, 1939 a native of Burlington, WI where she was raised and received her education at Burlington High School. Barbara worked at an egg processing plant in Burlington and on May 26, 1983 she was united in marriage to Galen C. Droge in Racine, WI. Soon after their union the couple moved and settled in Sioux Center, IA. Barbara enjoyed listening to country music.

     Barbara is survived by son, Joseph Kramer and daughter, Diane Meiner, both of Burlington, WI; step-children, Galen Droge Jr., Dennis Droge, both of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Droge, of Topeka, KS and Lisa Bryant of Austin, TX, Margie Schoenberg and brother Jerry Hefty both of WI.
