Kevin Brownfield

     Kevin Lee Brownfield, age 55 of Sioux Center, IA, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

     A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with Pastor Jeff Funderburg officiating.

      Family will be receiving guests from 1:00 PM until the time of service, Saturday afternoon.

     Kevin Lee Brownfield was born March 6, 1963 in Artesia, CA to Eugene and Coral (Allen) Brownfield.  He was raised in Lakewood, CA and graduated from Excelsior High School. On February 9th, 1991 he was united in marriage to Angela Dawn Schoonover in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.  To this union, two children were born; Ashtyn and Kevin Michael.  Kevin was a thoughtful man and enjoyed sculpting and drawing.  He was also a self-taught jack of all trades and could fix anything.  Which made him well-suited for his job at Agropur in the maintenance department. Kevin enjoyed his work and was well-liked at Agropur, as evidenced by his coworker’s outpouring of prayers and well wishes.

     Kevin loved his family very much and looked forward to spending time with them whenever he could. One of Kevin’s best traits was that he would drop everything to help anybody who needed it.

     He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Angela Brownfield of Sioux Center; daughter, Ashtyn Brownfield; son, Kevin Brownfield; daughter-in-law, Cambria, all of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Coral Duncan and Sheryl Huisman both of Sioux Center, IA; Rhex Brownfield of Las Vegas, NV; Kim (Marc) Dalby of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Deborah Schoonover-Chai (Ronald); nephew and two nieces, Matthew Miller, Serenity Chai, and Spring Huisman; Mother-in-law, Teresa Boyer; and grandpa, Jack Hall of Rock Rapids, IA.

    Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; brother, Kip; and sister, Susan.
