Cathy Lynn Albert

     Cathy Albert, 49 of Sioux Center, IA died Monday, February 26, 2018 at her residence near Sioux Center, IA, following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 2nd at Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, IA, with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating.  Burial will follow at the Carmel Cemetery.

     Visitation will be Thursday, March 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carmel Reformed Church.

Memorial may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

     Cathy Lynn Albert was born April 30, 1968 at Sioux Center, IA, the daughter of Rodney and Carol (Driesen) Sandbulte.  She was raised on a farm west of Sioux Center and attended Sioux Center Community Schools.  She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1986 and continued her education at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, graduating in 1990.

     Cathy was united in marriage to Paul Jerome Albert on March 5, 1994 in Sioux Fall, SD.  They lived in Sioux Falls and Cathy worked at First Data Resources.  In 1997 they moved to Hull, IA and Cathy provided daycare for several families in the area.  In 2001 they moved to their current residence near Sioux Center.  At that time Cathy was unable to work due to her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. 

     She was a life long member of Carmel Reformed Church.  She enjoyed the outdoors, activities with the kids, such as fishing and camping.  She also enjoyed gardening, collecting, attending flea markets and craft shows.  She especially enjoyed Saturday Night Movies with her family.

     She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Paul Albert of Sioux Center, IA; her children, Micah (Marina) Albert of Alton, IA, Jacob, Karlee and Paityn Albert, all of Sioux Center, IA; her parents, Rodney and Carol Sandbulte of Rock Valley, IA; brothers and sisters, Gwen (Dan) Klein, Kristi (Jeff) Altena, Deb (Dan) Fedders, Rick (Sara) Sandbulte, all of Sioux Center, IA, Marlin Sandbulte of Hull, IA, Greg (Rachel) Sandbulte and Kim (Derick) Niemeyer, all of Sioux Center, IA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Jerry and Judy Albert.
