Anona Alice (Rensink) Elliott Boone was born on September 10, 1930 to Leonard and Iva Adelheid (Stoehr) Rensink in Boyden, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Frank Mast Elliott in Boyden, IA on June 12, 1953. Frank and Anona ministered in Presbyterian Churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. Anona was involved in Women's groups, youth meetings, and Presbyterian Mariner’s. She was active in church, directing choir, leading Bible Studies, and giving prayer workshops. She was on the national board for the Presbyterians for Renewal, she and her husband establishing Wee Kirk Conferences in the Midwest. Frank and Anona loved to travel. Anona was known for her homemade bread and gave loaves of bread to many as part of her ministry. In addition to her work at the church, she taught elementary education for a total of twelve years. Her dinner table was often set for guests. Often using her beautiful red glassware, she hosted many missionaries, choir members, and every member of the Beulah Presbyterian Church. Her classmates were important to her – they gathered often. She was an accomplished seamstress and was often at the sewing machine, designing matching dresses for her girls. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were important to her; she prayed for them each by name.

Anona loved and cared for her children. She leaves behind Marcia Delle Elliott (spouse Deb Lechner); Charissa Sallie Elliott and her children, Sarah and Nick; Lila Jeanne (Les) Sybesma and their children, Heidi, Jenni, and Casey; and Francine Elizabeth (Michael) Franks and their children, Megan [Lewison], Wesley, and Autumn; and seven great-grandchildren.

Four years after her husband Frank passed away, she married Charles Boone. (June 29, 2002). In her later years, she and her husband Charles led singing in small Pentecostal Churches. Music was an important part of their lives. At the time of her passing, Anona was a resident of Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, IA.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Rensink (Sept. 19, 1900-Sept. 23, 1984); her mother, Iva Adelheid Stoehr (April 9, 1901-Oct. 30, 2003); her brothers Leonard “Bud” (Dec. 28, 1922- May 30, 1986), Leland William (Dec. 18, 1924-June 20, 2012), and Wendell Harvey (Nov. 23, 1927 – April 21, 2012); Her husband, Frank, passed away April 17, 1998.
