     Brad Beernink,  58, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Sioux Center, IA died Friday, November 3, 2017 at at his home in Omaha, NE.

  Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at First Reformed Church in Orange City, IA with Rev. Mark Vande Zande, officiating.

  Prayer service for family and friends will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.  Interment will follow the prayer service in the Memory Gardens Cemetery at Sioux Center, IA. 

  Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

   Bradley “Brad” Beernink was born January 7, 1959, in Sioux Center, IA the son of Vernon and Donna (Harskamp) Beernink.  Brad grew up in Sioux Center, IA where he attended Sioux Center High School, graduating in 1977.  He attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA and South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.  Brad was married to Patricia Reisel for 22 years to which three beautiful children were born.  Brad enjoyed farming and spent much of his life engaged in some aspect of it, whether it was managing multiple locations of Tractor Supply Center stores, working on other’s farms or working on the family farm near Sioux Center.  Brad enjoyed music, nature, playing and watching sports, reading, watching movies, biking, sailing, water skiing and cross word puzzles.  Brad had a brilliant mind and was a great writer.   

     Brad Beernink is survived by his children, Riley (Brittany) Beernink of Lombard, IL; Aileen Beernink of Sioux Falls, SD and Catherine Beernink of Chicago, IL; his grandson James of Lombard, IL; special friend, Susan DeWaay of Sioux Center, IA; father, Vernon (Barbara) Beernink of Sioux Center, IA; mother, Donna (Don) Naimoli of Sioux Center, IA; brother, Mark (Brenda) Beernink of Rochester, MN; sister, Barbara (Matt) Den Herder of Sioux Center, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Beernink and an infant sister, Janice Beernink.
