Pat Mouw, 95, of Sioux Center, IA died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM, with the family present from 5-7PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. A prayer service for family and friends will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at the Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow the prayer service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 12:00PM at the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Van Rathbun officiating. Patricia Mouw went home to be with her Lord May 13, 2014, at the age of 95. She was born February 21, 1919 in Rock Valley, Iowa. Patricia was the daughter of William E. Van De Brake and Pearl (De Zeeuw) Van De Brake. She had one sister, Dorothy. Patricia graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1937. Before she was married, she worked in the bakery in Sioux Center owned by her step-father, John Smith, Sr., now Casey's Bakery. On June 26, 1940, Patricia married Irvin Mouw. Pat and Irv have two sons, Phillip and Daniel. On November 27, 1964, Phillip married Marilyn Reynolds of Bejou, Minnesota. They reside in Sioux Center. Their three children are: Steven of Sioux Center, Michon (Ryan) Lubbers of Grandville, MI, and Scott (Tonya) of Adrian, MI. On August 30, 1968, Daniel married Bonnie Mueller of Racine, Wisconsin. They currently live in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. They have four children: Timothy (Aimee) of Amarillo, TX, Amy (Jason) Esposito of Germantown, WI, Jonathan (Jackie) of Racine, WI, and Christa (Derek) Matsche of Burlington, WI. Patricia was an active member of Central Reformed Church and the Central Women's Circles. Over the years she taught Sunday school, and sang alto in the choir. After suffering strokes, Irvin took wonderful care of her until she needed more extensive medical attention. In September, 2007, Patricia moved to Royale Meadows. She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved her role as a homemaker. Patricia is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Marilyn Mouw, Daniel and Bonnie Mouw; her 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren: Mitchell, Marcus and Gina Lubbers; Rhea and Claire Mouw; Tristan and Andrew Mouw; Logan, Tyler, Ethan and Spencer Esposito; Naomi, Mykaylah and Elijah Mouw; and Jaiden and Keagan Matsche; one step-sister, Winifred Kooima and her husband, Junior of Rock Valley, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin in 2013; parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Louis Boeyink; one brother-in-law, Wilbur Mouw; two sisters-in-law, Marie Beernink and Bernice Norris.
