Val Nibbelink, 46, of Sioux Center, IA died Friday, September 14, 2012, at her Sioux Center residence. A visitation will be held Monday from 4-8PM, with the family present from 5-7PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM at the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. R. Van Rathbun officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. In lieu of flowers or gifts the Nibbelink family prefers memorials to Sioux Center Community Home Health & Hospice. Valerie Mae Nibbelink, 46, of Sioux Center passed away at her home in Sioux Center on Friday, September 14, 2012. Val was born on March 1, 1966 to Harold and Marilyn (Rens) Vugteveen in Sioux Center, Iowa. On July 6, 1984, she married Kevin Nibbelink of Sioux Center. In Val's earlier years she held various part time jobs alongside of raising a family. She took great pride in the products she made for her business "Val's Candles and Gifts." Val enjoyed camping, her book club and Bible study. Val is survived by her husband, Kevin of 28 years; one son Cory and fiancée Sarah, and blessed to be able to see her grandson, Eli (8 months). Val is also survived by her mother, Marilyn Vugteveen of Okoboji, IA; her father, Harold (Mary) Vugteveen of Milford, IA; mother-in-law, Dorothy Nibbelink of Sioux Center; two brothers: Kevin (Heather) Vugteveen of Spirit Lake, IA, Tim (Jill) Vugteveen of Tonasket, WA; a brother-in-law, Terry (Melinda) Nibbelink of Orange City, IA; a sister-in-law, Barb (Gary) Hibma of Sheldon, IA, along with thirteen nieces and nephews. Val was preceded by her father-in-law, Henry Nibbelink.
