Elise Faith Mouw, 16 month old daughter of Dan and Tessa (Hengeveld) Mouw of Sioux Center, Iowa died Friday, April 27, 2012 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A visitation with the family present will be held Monday from 5-7PM at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with rev. Roger Voskuil officiating. Interment will be held in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. The Mouw Family prefer memorials be directed to Lasting Imprint Fund or the Ronald Mc Donald House Charities. Elise Mouw was born December 17, 2010. She suffered from a rare medical condition called Heterotaxy. She endured multiple surgeries, medical procedures, and hospital stays, but smiled everyday despite of it. She died on April 27, 2012 of complications from a Cardiac Arrest. We will miss our little girl, but now she has no scars. Maternal grandparents are Ted and Rachel Hengeveld of Sioux Center; paternal grandparents are Jim and Leanne Mouw of Sioux Center; maternal aunts and uncles: Brad and Nikki Konz of Granville, IA; Nathan and Shawna Van Niejenhuis of Hull, IA; and Clayton and Molly Hengeveld of Sioux Center, IA; paternal aunts and uncles are Kent and Brooke Mouw of Boston, MA; and Andrea Mouw of Minneapolis, MN. Cousins include Makenna, Brooklyn, and Joelie Konz; Kaase, Thijs, and Talja Van Niejenhuis; and Gwenevere Hengeveld. Elise is welcomed to heaven by her maternal great-grandparents: Clarence Visser and Theodore and Nelly Hengeveld and paternal great-grandparents Irwin Vermeer and Marvin Mouw.
