Leonard Zwiep, 95 of Hull, Iowa died Friday, March 16 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home of Hull. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2PM at First Reformed Church of Hull with Rev. David Ter Beest officiating. The Zwiep Family prefers memorial donations to: First Reformed Church, 911-2nd Street, Hull, IA 51239. Leonard Zwiep was born August 15, 1916 to Daniel and Nellie (De Stigter) Zwiep in Hull, Iowa. He attended school in Hull and graduated from the Hull High School. He made his home in Hull where he drove truck for a road construction business. He was a lifetime member of the First Reformed Church of Hull. In his free time, Leonard enjoying collecting stamps and coins. Leonard donated his body for medical research to the University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City, Iowa. Leonard is survived by a sister-in-law, Marcia Zwiep of Orange City, Iowa as well as seventeen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Cecil Zwiep and his wife, Leona, Tom Zwiep and Donald Zwiep; three sisters: Helen Shults and her husband, Ted, Marie Mears and her husband, John, Jeanette Reed and her husband, Charles.
