Fannie Haverhals, 88, of Jenison, Michigan died Friday, November 25, 2011. A visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8PM, with the family present from 5-7PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM at Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. The Haverhals family prefers memorials to: Elim Christian School, Back To God Ministries International or Hope Haven. Fannie Havehals was born October 15, 1923 to Bartel and Minnie (DeJong) Boogerd in Hull, Iowa. She married Siebert P. Haverhals December 1, 1943 in Hull. The couple farmed near Lebanon until 1969, at which time they moved to Sioux Center. In 1986 they settled in Hudsonville, Michigan. Fannie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gerald and Thelma Haverhals of Wyoming, MI, Bernard Haverhals of Kingston, Ontario Canada, Harv and Ruth Haverhals of Jenison, MI, Verna Haverhals of Grand Rapids, MI; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Tammy, Renee, Jennifer, Marc and Nathan; and one brother, Bart Boogerd of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Siebert P. Haverhals on December 5, 1993 and her daughter, Margene Haverhals.
