She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1966, and attended Central College in Pella, Iowa from 1966-1968. Lynn earned her BS Degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 1978. Lynn spent the majority of her nursing career at Sioux Center Hospital and also spent six years at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1999 and joined the staff at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center as a counselor. She later associated with ATLAS, counseling families until 2010. On August 4, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, RG Boeyink. To that union, two children were born: Tim Boeyink and Charlie Boeyink. On August 4, 2011, Lynn and RG celebrated forty-four years of marriage. And as anyone who saw them, their love burned brighter than ever, both for one another and for their savior, Jesus Christ. Those who are left to cherish her memory are her children: Dr. Timothy Boeyink and his wife Sandi of Denver, Colorado; Charlie Boeyink and his wife Sheri of Phoenix, Arizona. Lynn was blessed with three precious grandchildren: Trey Boeyink (13), Luke Boeyink (11) and Brynn Boeyink (9). She is also survived by three siblings: Michael Oelrich and wife Julie of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Mary Steerman and husband Mike of Greenwood Village, CO, and Jean Goodnough and husband Gordon of Fairfax Station, VA, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Oelrich, and her father Dr. Carl Oelrich.
