Efrain Granillo Cespedes, 28 of Sioux Center died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Visitation with the family present will be held Tuesday from 4-9PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. A prayer vigil will be at 7:30PM. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 7:30PM at Christ the King Catholic Church of Sioux Center with Father Douglas Klein officiating. Efrain Granillo Céspedes Was born May 3 1982 en Cuahutepec Hidalgo, Mexico Grew up in Santa Maria Nativitas Hidalgo His parents: José Efrain Granillo Soto Araceli Céspedes Gonzales Together they raised Efrain with his siblings Ma. Esther, Ma. Isabel, Ma. Julieta, Julio Cesar, and Ma. Yanin. When he was sixteen years old he came to live in Sioux Center, Iowa. He returned to Mexico and married Elizabeth Hernandez. Their son, Jesus Iasi Granillo, was born in Mexico and baptized before Efrain returned to the United States. Nine months later he was joined by his wife and son. In Sioux Center, they had Elliot and Brittany E. Granillo. Efrain and Elizabeth lived happily together for ten and half years. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, a wonderful son, loving and caring brother, and attentive friend. Efrain was an amazing man and always willing to help anyone who needed him. No matter what situation he was in other people always came first for him. He had a smile for everyone and was grateful for everything he was given. Efrain showed his family and friends what unconditional love is through his actions and words. God's love and blessings were evident through his family and friends. We are assured that he is now with God the Father and that one day we will see him once again.
