Norma (Kroon) Loe, 80, passed away on June 12, 2010, after battling cancer since November 2008. Graveside services for the family are planned for June 25 at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center, with a "time of remembrance" open to the public from 2-4pm at Crown Pointe Retirement Community in Sioux Center. After from graduating from high school in 1948, she attended Westmar and Central Colleges, where she received a degree to teach country school. In June, of 1951, she married Don Loe. Soon after, she became a full time mom. Numerous railroad transfers took them to Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado. They spent almost 15 years in Casper, Wyoming after retiring. Due to Norma's medical problems, she spent the last year in Denver, Colorado enjoying family and friends at Garden Plaza Retirement Community. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and her son, Scott. She is survived by one son, Kim Loe and his wife, Carol, of Denver, CO and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Conroy of Billings, MT and three grandsons: Randy, Chris, and Cam. She is also survived by two sisters: Eda Kroon of Sioux Center and Trudy Plattner of Gettysburg, PA and two brothers and sister-in-law: Henry and Gladys Kroon of Eagle Grove, IA and Stan and Marjorie Kroon of Burnsville, MN.
