Oscar Rodriguez, 26, of Orange City, IA died Monday, May 24, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident south of Rock Valley, IA. A visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center. A Parish Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 4PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center, IA. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:00AM at Christ the King Catholic Church of Sioux Center, with Father Douglas Klein officiating. Interment will be held in his native country of Honduras. Oscar Andres Rodriguez was born on April 14, 1984, in Copan, Honduras, to Carlos Rosales and Francisca Rodriguez. Oscar was raised and went to school in El Negrito Yoro, Honduras. Nine yrs ago he came to the United States, with hopes to better the life of his family in Honduras. In Montevideo, MN he met the girl that became the mother of his children, Angelica Betancourt. At age 19 he started living with her to make his family life, and at age 22 they had his first child a girl Reina Rosales Rodriguez, and then at age 23 they had their son Andres Manuel Rodriguez. They lived in Iowa and Minnesota, where he worked for different companies. He was admired for his ambition to do his best at every job that he was given to do. He always tried to prosper in his work and in his personal life. Oscar was survived by his mother and father Carlos Rosales and Francisca Rodriguez, and grandfather Guadalupe Deras, and in the USA his children Reina R. and Andres M. Rodriguez, his two sisters Carla Rosales, and Lidys Siumara Martinez, brother-in-law Juan Martinez, cousins Leonel Mata Rosales, Jacinto Mata Rosales, just to name a couple, there are many more, he also left behind many friends that loved him very much. Oscar was a dedicated father, good son, brother, (in-law), cousin and friend to all. He will always be remembered with love and affection, and will remain in our hearts forever.
