Freda Mouw, 84, of Sioux Center, IA died unexpectedly Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. A prayer service for family and friends will be held Wednesday at 10:00AM at First Christian Reformed Church with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at the First Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Mark Verbruggen officiating. Visitation with the family present and a time of fellowship will be held immediately following the memorial service. The Mouw family prefers memorials to the Sioux Center Christian School or Sioux Center Community Hospital Foundation. Freda (De Zeeuw) Mouw, daughter of Pleun and Lillian (Van Putten) De Zeeuw was born June 7, 1925 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She was married to Peter G. Mouw on February 20, 1948. Freda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Pete Mouw; five children and their spouses: Barry and Susan Mouw, Jeffrey Mouw, Lynne and Al Bloemendaal, Steve and Peg Mouw and Kallen Bruce Mouw; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Frances Schuiteman; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Herman Sietstra and brother-in-law, Adrian Punt. Freda was preceded in death by 4 infant children: David, Laura, Kallen and Thomas; her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris and Herman Harmelink and Joan and Andrew Brenneman; sister, Gertrude Punt and brother-in-law, Arthur Schuiteman.
