Rodney Klein, 47, of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Sioux Center, Iowa, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
A memorial service will be Monday, September 22, at 11am at the New Life Reformed Church of Sioux Center. Interment will be held following the memorial service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.
Rodney Jay Klein was born on December 3, 1960 in Sioux Center, Iowa to Herman Lolly and Beverly (Schoen) Klein. Rodney was raised and educated in Sioux Center.
He married Lorri Ann Hyronemus on June 2, 1978 in Sioux Center. The couple was blessed with two sons and later divorced. As a young man, Rodney began his career at the egg plant in Sioux Center and later moved on to carpentry. He was employed in Sioux Center and Cherokee until moving to California in 2002. He was a hard worker who loved to fix and work with his hands. His family and friends were what mattered most to him.
Survivors include three sons: Rusty and his wife Wendy, Reggie and Nickolaus; six grandchildren: Austin, Devin, Brendon, Isabella, Alexis and Taylor Grace; his sister, Bonnie Pieper of Sioux Center and brother, Ronnie Klein and his wife, Sara of Pender, NE; nine nieces and nephews: Ryan, Radiance, Robert, Kris, Tyler, Trevor, Rebecca, Randall and Rachael and special aunt, Donna Middle of Nevada, IA.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Randy Klein and sister, Cheryl Klein.
