ANGIE POST, 34, of Davenport, IA, formerly of Sioux Center, IA died unexpectedly Monday, June 2, 2008 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30AM at the Carmel Reformed Church of rural Rock Valley, IA with Rev. Joel Bensema officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Carmel Cemetery of rural Rock Valley.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4-9pm, with the family present from 6-9pm at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Angela Joy Post was born September 25, 1973, the daughter of Warren and Fonda (Broek) Post. She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1992, and continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with a BS in Chemistry in 1997. In 2000, Angie achieved her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
Following graduation she worked at the career she loved as a store pharmacist and pharmacy manager at both Longs and Ralphs in southern California. In 2006, she moved back to Iowa to be closer to her family. She was currently working as the pharmacy manager for Walgreens at Kimberly and Eastern, Davenport.
Angie loved life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an active runner, and always felt refreshed after an eight mile run or completing a marathon. She had a very personal relationship with her Lord and Savior.
Angie had a huge heart, a beautiful smile and a passion for helping others. Her adventurous spirit and her love for those around her impacted everyone she met. She had an extraordinary combination of beauty, intellect and compassion. She will be deeply missed.
Angie is survived by a son, Corey; her fianc, Tedd Lear, Moline, IL; her parents, Warren and Fonda Post, Sioux Center; a brother and sister-in-law, Arlin and Kelly Post, East Moline, IL; sister, Nicole Post, Sioux Center; grandmother, Berdie Broek, Sioux Center; many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and the Lear family.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Walter and Henrietta Post, Cornie Broek; and cousins, Justin Van De Berg and Kevin Post. May they rest in peace.
