Harry Mulder, 80, of Sioux Center, Iowa was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center of Sioux City after a courageous struggle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11am at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Arnold Punt officiating. Interment will be held prior to the memorial service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.
A prayer service will be held Friday morning at 10am at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center.
Visitation will be held Thursday at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center from 4pm to 8pm, with the family present from 6pm to 8pm.
The Mulder Family prefers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Harry Mulder was born on December 15, 1927 in Lebanon, IA, the son of Charles & Maggie (Toering) Mulder. He was raised the majority of his life on a farm near Alton, IA.
Harry married Nelvina Lammers on December 28, 1951 in Sioux Center. They lived the first couple years of their married life in Sioux Center where Harry worked for Sioux Implement until they moved to the family farm in February, 1956. Harrys passion for farming was always a large part of his life and was truly blessed to remain actively involved in the farming operations the balance of his life.
Harry was a member of First Reformed Church in Sioux Center and was such a cherished loving husband, father and grandfather. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor were gifts that he shared with everyone he met. Harry loved spending quality time with family and friends. His other interests included fishing, spending the summers at Cuttys of Okoboji and the winter months at Trophy Gardens in Alamo, TX where they were blessed with the opportunity to form many wonderful friendships over the years. Words cannot express how much he enjoyed the wonderful times that he was able to spend with his family and friends. To him it was truly priceless.
Those to honor his memory are his wife of 56 years, Nelvina; his children: Marilyn and Gerald Brummel of Hull, Connie and Chuck Vander Ploeg of Sioux Center, Verlyn and Robin Mulder of Sioux Center, Harvey Mulder of Sioux Center, Starla and Loren Meyer of Hull, Sandy and John Griffioen of Sioux Center and Marv and Laurie Meendering of Sioux Center. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Other family members include sister, Tillie Vanden Brink of Sioux Center; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Kay Mulder of Ireton; sisters-in-law; Garlene Mulder of Rock Rapids, Hermina Richmond, Adeline Lammers, Hendrene Kalsbeck all of Sioux Center; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Elmer Van Wyk of Sioux Center.
He was preceded in death by a beloved daughter Rachel Meendering; his parents; Nelvinas parents; sister, Sena Mulder; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Suzanne Mulder; brother, Henry Mulder; sister-in-law, Joyce Mulder; and five brothers-in-law: Frank Richmond, Dick Lammers, Jason Vander Heiden, Milo Kalsbeck, Steve Vanden Brink and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stan and Nancy Lammers.
