KEVIN HOPPE, 46, of Sioux Center, IA, formerly of Carrington, ND, died unexpectedly Tuesday, 12/12, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Thursday evening, 12/14, at 7pm at the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Carl Boersma officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday prior to the funeral ceremony at Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center from 3pm to 7pm, with the family present after 5:30pm.
A funeral service will also be held on Saturday, 12/16, at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church of Carrington, ND, with Rev. Bruce Vold. Interment will follow in Carrington Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in Carrington, ND at Evans Funeral Home on Friday, 12/15, from 5pm to 8:30pm and Saturday from 9am to noon.
Kevin Paul Hoppe was born December 5, 1960 to John and Yvonne (Gross) Hoppe in Carrington, ND. He attended Carrington schools. Kevin began working with his father and brother at the family construction business building agricultural related buildings.
On May 7, 1983 he married Bobbi Jo Kutz in Carrington. He later moved to Sioux Center, Iowa where he initially worked with his brother, Doug, at Hoppe Construction. Kevin later established his own construction company, known as Kevin Hoppe Construction.
While living in Carrington, Kevin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved the outdoors; enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and yard-work the most. Kevin was also known for his spotless vehicles. Kevin liked to travel, and especially enjoyed his vacation in Mexico. Kevin will be remembered as a hard worker, great story teller and a proud father and grandfather.
Kevin is survived by, Bobbi Jo Hoppe of Sioux Center; daughter and son-in-law, Lanette and Bill Rindy of Carrington, ND; three sons: Jeremy Hoppe and Chris Hoppe both of Brookings, SD, Brandon Hoppe of Sioux Center; five grandchildren; his parents, John and Yvonne Hoppe of Carrington, ND; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Florinda Hoppe of Sioux Center; sisters and brothers-in-law: Vicki and Tye Edelman of Glendive, MT; Karen and Rick Rudolph of Beulah, ND and Pam and Michael Dellinger of Yakima, WA; sister-in-law, Deb Leapaldt of Woodworth, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Sandra Hoppe; brother, John Hoppe, Jr.; and his grandparents.
