Gail Lorraine (Altena) Coulter

Gail (Altena) Coulter 45, of Park Rapids, MN formerly of Sioux Center died unexpectedly Wednesday 11/1 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11am at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Rhoda officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 9:30-11:00am.

Gail Lorraine Coulter was born in on March 16, 1961 to Aubrey and Arlene (Vreugdenhil) Altena in Sioux Center. Gail attended Sioux Center Christian School, and graduated from Unity Christian High School with the class of 1979.

After attending Dordt College, Gail moved to Sioux City, IA and worked as an accountant for Kent Feeds. While working in Sioux City she met and married Richard Coulter. The couple owned and operated the Kent Feed Store in Geddes, SD. They later moved to Park Rapids, MN where they managed a vacation resort.

Gail is survived by her mother, Arlene Altena of Sioux Center; two brothers Jan Altena and his wife Glenda of Orange City, Terry Altena of Sioux Center; seven nephews and nieces: Dan and Rachelle Altena and their daughter Kailee of Visalia, CA; Ted and Jackie Altena, Anne-Michelle Altena, Hannah Altena, Tim and Sara Altena, Tony Altena all of Orange City, Lisa Altena and her children, Lakota and Adrian of LeMars and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Altena and her grandparents.
