Helen Irene Dolieslager

Helen Irene (Katze) Dolieslager 91, of Lebanon, MO formerly of California died Friday, November 17, 2006 in Lebanon, MO.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006at 10:30 am at the Central Reformed Church of Sioux center with Rev. Joel Bensema officiating. Interment will followin Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center, Iowa.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 9:30amCentral Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

Helen Irene (Katze) Dolieslager was born at Estelline, South Dakota on July 9, 1915 to George and Jennie (Bonnema) Katze. She was raised in South Dakota. Helens mother died at a young age, so Helen had to remain at home to care for her younger brother, and do the cooking and cleaning.

Helen lived most of her adult life in California. Helen cleaned homes for families and cared for people in their homes. She was blessed with a God given artistic talent which she has proudly passed on to those in her family.

She was a member of Bethel Reformed Church in Bellflower, California.

Helen enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She never passed up an opportunity to share pictures of her grandchildren and great children with others. She was partial to listening to Gospel music and sharing Gods word.

In April of 1996 Helen moved to Lebanon, Missouri to be near family, becoming a resident of Christian Health Care in Lebanon, Missouri in March of 1998.

Surviving are her daughter, Lavonne Rowden of Lebanon, MO; her son, Le Roy Dolieslager of Wendell, ID; her daughter-in-law, Francis Dolieslager of Hanford, CA; five grandchildren: Charles Rowden, Jim and Valerie (Rowden) Mooney, Nicholas and Susie Dolieslager, Johnny Dolieslager, Lori Dolieslager; eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Katherine Kalsbeck, Jennie Vonk, Wennett Kalsbeck, Jessie Elitzer; four brothers: Peter, Gerrit Gary, George, Gerritt Katze; an infant brother; son In-Law, Leo Rowden and grandson, Steven Rowden.
