Trevor Rus

TREVOR RUS, age 20, of Lennox, SD, formerly of Sioux Center, IA, died unexpectedly Friday, 9/29, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10/3, at 10:30am at New Life Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. Randy Widbin officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Visitation will be held at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center after 4pm on Monday, 10/2, with the family present from 4pm-8pm.

Trevor Heath Rus was the second child blessed to Harlan and Carla (Cleveringa) Rus, born on December 14, 1985 in Sioux Center, Iowa. Trevor was raised in Sioux Center. He attended Sioux Center Community Schools and completed his studies at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa in 2004.

As a young man, Trevor worked for Den Herder Lawn Care and later in the detail department at Mouw Motors. Recently, Trevor lived in Lennox, South Dakota. He was an employee of Showplace Wood Products located in Harrisburg, South Dakota where he assembled custom cabinets.

When he wasnt working one of Trevors favorite past times was riding his Harley. He thrived on the competition of paintballing and relaxed while fishing. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and had created an especially close relationship with his youngest cousins.

Surviving are his parents, Harlan and Carla Rus of Sioux Center; his sister, Abby Rus of Omaha, NE and brother, Logan Rus of Sioux Center; his grandparents: Theresa Cleveringa of Sioux Center and Cornie and Catherine Rus of Rock Valley. Trevor is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Michael and Sherry Cleveringa of Minneapolis, MN, Frank and Linda Rus of Grand Rapids, MI, Wilfred and Sharon Rus of Garland, TX, Joel and Fran Rus of Hudsonville, MI, Jerry and Londa Rus of Sioux Center, Marion and Judy Rus of Greenville, MI, Gloria Buus of Luverne, MN, Mel and Brenda Rus of Zeeland, MI, Virgil and Mary Rus of Holland, MI, Howard and Janelle Rus of Sioux Center, Harold and Lynda Rus of Sioux Center and Edwin and Alicia Rus of Waterloo, IA; along with his numerous cousins.

Trevor was preceded in death by his grandfather, Nelson Cleveringa.
