Anna Rozeboom

August 15, 1915 — July 10, 2005

ANNA ROZEBOOM, 89, of Sioux Center, Iowa died Sunday, 7/10, at the Sioux Center Community Nursing Facility.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 7/13, at 11am at the Faith Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Bernie Haan officiating. Interment will be held prior to the memorial service in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

A family prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10am at Faith Christian Reformed Church.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 7/12, from 2pm to 8pm, with the family present from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Anna (Hoekstra) Rozeboom was born to Teunis and Ida (Noordmans) Hoekstra on August 15,1915 in Hancock, Minnesota. At the age of four, Anna and her family moved to Sioux Center, Iowa. Anna attended school in Sioux Center.

On August 12, 1938, Anna married John G.W. Rozeboom. Following their marriage they made their home on a farm southwest of Sioux Center for 2 years. Anna and John settled on their farm northwest of Carmel, Iowa where they lived together for the next for 45 years. John preceded Anna in death on September 17, 1983.

Anna is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Allen De Jong of Carmel; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Betty Rozeboom of Carmel; a brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Evelyn Hoekstra of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Ed Rozeboom of Sioux Center; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one infant grandson, Michael John De Jong; two brothers-in-law: Gerrit G. Rozeboom and William Rozeboom; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Rozeboom and Elsie Rozeboom.

Anna was a member of the Faith Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center. Anna had been a member of Women of Faith and adult Bible studies. Anna enjoyed time spent with her family, knitting, sewing, games and visiting with her many friends.
