Clarine Wandsheer

CLARINE WANDSHEER, 91, of Sioux Center, Iowa died Tuesday, 6/14, at the Sioux Center Community Nursing Facility.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 6/18, at 1:30pm at the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Rev. R. Van Rathbun officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Visitation will be held Friday, 6/17, from 2pm to 8pm with the family present from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

The Family prefers memorials be directed to the Music Department of Central Reformed Church.

Clarine (De Vries) Wandscheer was born to Herman and Bertha (Duistermars) De Vries February 22, 1914 on their rural Sioux Center residence. She attended Sioux Center schools and received a high school Normal Training Degree. Clarine then taught at a rural school for six years before marrying Joe Wandscheer of Sioux Center on May 30, 1940, at her parents home.

Clarine surrounded her life with music and loved listening and playing the piano and sharing it with her beloved Joe. Clarine taught piano lessons for 40 years, accompanied many vocal and music groups and played piano at Central Reformed Church where she was a member for many years of Sioux Center, IA.

Clarine is survived by her daughter Joline Bochmann Bastounes of Naperville, IL, a grandson, Adam Bochmann & his wife Cori of Downers Grove, IL; and great-granddaughter Samantha Joline Bochmann.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe; her parents; one son-in-law, Andrew Bastounes; and three sisters Arta Wandscheer, Catherine Voordeman and Loraine De Vries.
