Albert M. Van Beek

Albert Van Beek, age 81 of Inwood, IA, died on Monday, January 10, 2022, at his Residence.   

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with burial following at the Richland Cemetery in Inwood, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Albert Marvin Van Beek was born September 30, 1940, to Peter and Juliana (Schelling) Van Beek in rural Alton, Iowa. 

Albert was joined in marriage to Gloria Van Veldhuizen on November 27, 1962.  The couple lived southwest of Rock Valley, Iowa before moving to the farm east of Inwood, Iowa.  For a few years, Albert farmed and worked for Van Zee Block and Tile in Rock Valley.  He later farmed full time with his sons.  He was a lifelong member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Sioux Center where he served on the consistory for 41 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Van Beek of Inwood; his children: Sharlene (Carlin) Groeneweg of Rock Valley; Marvin Van Beek of Larchwood; Paul (Dawn) Van Beek of Inwood; Randall (Karen) Van Beek of Ireton; Carolyn (Jamie) Van Beek of Inwood; David (Melissa) Van Beek of Inwood; Jeffrey (Jolene) Van Beek of Hull; 26 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by seven siblings; four in-laws from the Van Veldhuizen family and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded by his parents; grandson, Kyle Dreke; two brothers, Cornelius Van Beek, Gerald (Wilmina) Van Beek; two brothers-in-law: Gerrit Van Veldhuizen and Junior Van Beek.
