Conrado Romero Nava

Conrad Nava Romero, age 57, of Sioux Center, IA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center, IA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 18th at Christ The King Catholic Church in Sioux Center, IA, with Father Douglas Klein as celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date at Los Banos Cemetery in Los Banos, CA. Public visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Due to the recent Governor’s mandate the Romero family will not be present during the public visitation, and we will be following the social distancing and mask requirements. There will only be a total of 15 people allowed in the funeral home at any given time. Conrado Romero Nava was born January 2, 1963 to Epifanio Romero and Delfina Nava in Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas. The family moved to Colotlán, Jalisco where he lived until he moved to California in 1978. He worked in various jobs throughout the years mostly as a cook. In 2003 he moved to Sioux Center where he worked in a dairy. Then he was the butcher at the local Mexican grocery store. He also worked doing construction for many years before his last employment at Van Regenmorter Pork. There he helped process piglets, took care of the sick and sore sows as well as maintenance around the farm. He enjoyed family barbecues on the weekends, fishing with his nephews, walks with his dog, dancing and spicy food. Conrado leaves behind his significant other Rafaela Fuentes, his four children Salvador Elias Romero, Evelio Conrado Paz Romero, Marisa Romero, Daniel Romero and five grandchildren Evelio Conrado Romero ll, Eli Jaxson Romero, Julian Esteban Plascencia, Presley Athena Romero, Angel Nicholas Romero. Conrado planned to move back to California to be able to spend more time with his grandchildren, sons and daughter. His final wish will be honored. He will be laid to rest at the Los Baños Cemetery in California close to his family. Spanish version Conrado Romero nació el 2 de Enero del año 1963, hijo de Epifanio Romero y Delfina Nava en Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas. Su familia se mudó a Colotlán, Jalisco donde residió hasta su mudanza a California en 1978. El trabajo en varios trabajos, la mayoría como cocinero. En el 2003 se mudó a Sioux Center donde trabajó en una lechería por un par de años. Después trabajo como carnicero en la tienda mexicana local. Laboro en construcción por años antes de su último trabajo en Van Regenmorter Pork. Allí el ayudaba a procesar los cerditos, a cuidar de los cerdos enfermos y con el mantenimiento de la granja. El disfrutaba de las cenas familiares los fines de semana, los días de pesca con sus sobrinos, pasear con su perro, bailar y su comida picante. Conrado deja atrás a su compañera Rafaela Fuentes, a sus cuatro hijos Salvador Elias Romero, Evelio Conrado Paz Romero, Marisa Romero, Daniel Romero y sus cinco nietos Evelio Conrado Romero ll, Eli Jaxson Romero, Julián Esteban Plascencia, Presley Athena Romero y Nicholas Angel Romero. Conrado tenia previsto mudarse de regreso a California para poder pasar más tiempo con sus nietos e hijos. Su ultima voluntad será cumplida ya que será sepultado en el cementerio de Los Baños, California.
