Dora Van Zee, age 89 of Sioux Center, IA passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Sioux Center Health Hospital in Sioux Center, IA. Due to the mandated health care precautions, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Condolences to the family can be offered on the Memorial Funeral Home website. www.mfhonline.com. Dora (Mulder)VanZee was born on June 26, 1930, to Jacob and Antonia (Van Donkelaar) Mulder. She was raised in Sioux Center, IA. On Feb 25, 1955, she married her lifelong friend and partner, Ervin Van Zee in Sioux Center. The couple made their home on a farm near Hospers, IA and retired in Sioux Center, IA. Dora passed away on March 24, 2020. Her final words, “I can’t wait to meet Jesus”, what a beautiful way to meet her Savior and profess her faith. Dora lived her life under God’s guidance and with elegance and grace no matter how hard life on earth was. Dora was a longtime member of Free Grace Reformed Church of Middleburg, IA. She loved her church family, taking communion and worshiping Jesus. Her biggest love beyond her family was “coffee time”. She always said life happens around the table. She is preceded in death by her husband Ervin; her parents; her brothers Anthony Mulder, John Mulder and her sister Hermina “Snooks” Den Hartog. She is survived by her daughter, Darla Malone, her son in law, Michael Malone, Austin, TX; her sister, Gerdena "Gordie" Deinken; her brother, James "Guy" Mulder of Sioux Center and numerous nieces and nephews.
