Frances Moss, age 74, of Sioux Center, IA died Monday, April 20, 2020 at her home in Sioux Center, IA, surrounded by her family.

There will be a private family service held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley, IA.

     Frances Elaine Moss was born on July 19, 1945 to Clarence and Jennie (Bakker) De Kam in Boyden, IA. She was raised on an acreage by Rock Valley along with a brother and three sisters. She attended Western Christian School and graduated in 1963.

     On June 8, 1965, Fran was united in marriage to Myron Keith Moss at the Rock Valley First Christian Reformed Church. They made their home on a Dairy farm west of Sioux Center. Together they worked on the farm and raised their family. Fran also worked at Nobl Labs part time and after moving off the farm in 2000, she delivered motorhomes with Mike for 12 years.

     Fran was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church. She was involved in Mary’s Fellowship, and was a Care & Concern Coordinator. She liked to show she cared by doing things for others. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and rummage sales, attending as many of the grandkids activities as possible, and playing the piano. She especially enjoyed fishing and camping, and anytime spent with her family.

     Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Myron; her children, David (Kristy) Moss of Sioux Falls, SD and their children: Konnor and Reyna; Julie (Marlin) Ten Napel of Sioux Center, IA, and their children: Mitchell, Alex (Audra); Melynda (Jon) Meyerink of Sioux Center, IA and their children: Derek, Reece and Shaylee; Carrie (Andrae) Harrison of Sioux Falls, SD and their children: Bryanna, Emmanuel, Isaiah, Moriah and Darius; siblings, Nelva (Pete) Pollema, Sister in law, Marj Dekam, Judy (Marlin) De Noble, Helen (Brad) De Vries; sisters-in-law, Mary Van Middendorp, Eileen (Ken) Kooima and Casey Moss; brothers-in-law, Neal (Trina) Moss and Harlan (Pat) Moss.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jennie De Kam; son, Michael Evan; brother, Jim De Kam; parents-in-law, John and Gertrude Moss; brothers-in-law, John Van Middendorp, Alvin Moss, and Leslie Moss.
