Fredrick Karl Hamann

      Frederick "Fred" Hamann, age 79, of Hull, Iowa, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Sioux Center Health at Sioux Center, IA.

     Visitation with refreshments will be Monday, February 6, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM with the family present at the Memorial Funeral Home.

     A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, February 6, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Nicholas Anderson officiating.

     Fredrick Karl Hamann was born on November 27, 1943, the third son of Fritz and Hendrene (Vander Naald) Hamann.  He served his country in Vietnam from 1966-1967.  Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home and became an electrician.  He worked many years for Interstates Electric and Fred Ymker.  He mainly worked doing industrial wiring in feed mills, chicken houses, churches, tobacco plants and etc.  As a result of his work he injured his back and ended up retiring early.  In 2007, he met Marlys Rook and they were united in marriage in 2008.  They spent 14 years together until his passing, this past Wednesday evening, February 1, 2023, at Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center at the age of seventy-nine.

     Left to cherish Fred, is his wife, Marlys of Hull; and her children, Amanda Hamilton and her children, Alexias and Wyiat of Inwood; Ben and April Lines and their children, Justine, Elise, Jay, Jasper, Aden, Jack, Rhydian and Haelix of Rock Valley.  His brothers, Bill Hamann of Rock Valley, Robert “Bob” Hamann of Hull; Karl and Linda Hamann of Portland, OR, Dale Hamann of Rock Valley and Arlyn Hamann of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters, BJ Hamann of Des Moines and Linda Guilickson of Dickinson, ND a daughter, Carla of North Carolina and numerous nephews and nieces.  

     He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Hendrene Hamann; two brothers, Terry Dean Hamann and Ronald and sister-in-law, Francis Hamann.
