He grew up in Sioux Center and graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1967. We all know Jeris had many things he loved in life and was known specifically for his love of Fords, McDonalds old fart coffee, Mickey Mouse, Harleys, "Mater" and did I mention McDonalds old fart coffee?
But, more than that, Jeris loved nothing more than being a husband, father and especially a grandpa. Maysa “Peanut” was always his absolute pride and joy.
You could always find Jeris either mowing the yard, fixing stuff in his workshop, washing his cars, or just out talking to his friends.
He always had a charming way of making anyone he would talk to feel special and important.
Jeris is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Karen “Queenie” Brantsen of Sioux Center, IA; two daughters, Kristi Brantsen and Jennifer (Kevin) Kruse both of Sioux Falls, SD; one granddaughter, Maysa Kruse and special God-granddaughter, Emmersyn; brother, Loren (Mary) Brantsen of Sioux Center, IA; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
