Kay Freda Schuiteman was born June 29, 1961, to Art and Frances Schuiteman. She attended Sioux Center Community School and High School.
She survived an upbringing with 7 siblings and mischief around the family farm.
After her high school she worked various jobs around the community including American State Bank and the Sioux Center Community Hospital.
On December 10, 1982, she was united in marriage to Dr. David Faber. The couple made their home in Sioux Center where she faithfully supported her husband and his journey to start and grow Trans Ova Genetics.

Her favorite trips were family trips to Okoboji, and her true happy place was sitting on the bank of Long Lake in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Above all, her greatest passion in life was that of her three children; Sara, Daniel and Dr. Tyler and seven grandsons; Cohen, Creed, and Crew Kober (Sara); Drake, Tate and Hayes Faber (Daniel); and Callum Faber (Tyler).
