Kenneth Jacob Kwikkel

Kenneth Jacob Kwikkel, age 61 of Sioux Center, IA died of natural causes Monday, September 23, 2019 at his residence in Sioux Center, IA.

A visitation will be Friday, September 27^th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with family present at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Kenneth "Slick" Kwikkel was born December 22, 1957 in Sioux Center, IA to Kenneth Ralph and Mary (Van Steenwyk) Kwikkel. He was raised in Sioux Center and graduated from Sioux Center High School. In his younger years, Kenneth worked for Joe’s Ready Mix. Later he went to work for Farmers Co-op applying fertilizer and became a manager in the agronomy department. Kenneth was a hard worker that enjoyed what he did.

Kenneth had three children, Jacob, Rebekah, and Natalya. They were the light of his life. He loved them very much. Kenneth found his love could grow deeper still with the addition of his grandchildren. He enjoyed so much spending time with them all.

Kenneth had a fondness for fishing even though he hadn’t been out for many years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and listening to music. His favorite color was burnt umber and he loved motorcycles and Lincoln vehicles.

Kenneth lost both of his parents and his sister in the last year. The year was very hard on him, especially since he was struggling with deepening health problems of his own. This past week Kenneth died at his home at the age of 61. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Jacob (fiancé Candra Knobloch) Kwikkel of Rock Rapids, IA; daughters, Rebekah (Brian) Keizer of St. Paul, MN and Natalya (Adam) Tuschen of Brandon, SD; grandchildren, Brady Teunissen of Hull, IA, Bret Keizer and Bailey Keizer both of St. Paul, MN, Ellie Tuschen and Case Tuschen both of Brandon, SD; brother-in-law, Ron Muth of Ireton, IA; nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Kwikkel; and sister, Miriam Muth.
