    Lance Reisma, age 43, of Sioux Center, IA died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the Orange City Area Health System Hospital in Orange City, IA.

     A private family memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, IA with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating.

Lance Jason Reisma was born on August 6, 1976 in Sioux Center, IA, the son of Dennis J. and Marlene (Bird) Reisma.  He grew up and later graduated from Sioux Center High School.  Lance lived in Sioux Center all his life and worked for Ceres Construction. 

Lance was a kind and loving person with a heart bigger than himself.  He loved spending time with family and friends and his son, Devin and nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.  He was passionate about drawing and was a talented artist.  At one time Lance was on a bowling league in Sioux Center. 

But for the most part Lance just loved being around people and hearing stories and making people smile and cherished every memory he had with family and friends he met.  “See you later Fella”

Lance is survived by his son, Devin Burgers; four siblings, Rick Baxter, Heather (Josh) Van Putten of Sioux Center, IA, Lisa (Tracy) Jones of Washington, IN and D.J. Reisma of Sioux Center, IA; nine nieces and nephews, Skylar Gonnerman, Brendan Gonnerman, Seaira Gutierrez, Kira Roetman, Jordana Reisma, Cheyenne Jones, Lakota Jones, Kiowa Jones and Breonna Lammert; one great nephew, Jaxon Gonnerman; one great niece, Justice Gutierrez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Marlene Reisma; and a sister, Dawn Lammert.
