Lauren Sandbulte, 68, of Hull, IA, died Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Hegg Memorial Health in Rock Valley, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Carmel Reformed Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Carmel Reformed Church with Rev. Dave Van Kley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Carmel Cemetery in Carmel, Iowa.
Lauren Bruce Sandbulte passed away on January 27, 2025, in Rock Valley, Iowa. Born on July 19, 1956, in Sioux Center, Iowa, to Kenneth and Florence Sandbulte, Lauren was one of twelve siblings. He shared a cherished bond with his brothers and sisters: Bonnie Hofmeyer, Nancy Dykstra, Henry Sandbulte, Merlyn Sandbulte, Wendell Sandbulte, Brenda Shannon, Nolan Sandbulte, Vicki Vander Lugt, Shelley Timmer, Pam Meitzler, and Shawn Sandbulte.
Family was the cornerstone of Lauren’s life. He found his greatest joy in being a father to his three children—Seaton, Bailie, Trey and his wife Pandora— and stepdaughter Keri Merendon. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Athena and Gryffin.
Lauren’s life was colored by a deep passion for history and sports that fueled his insatiable curiosity and enriched the lives of those around him. An adventurer at heart, he embraced the world through traveling and horseback riding. Known for his quick wit and an infectious love of humor, Lauren had a gift for bringing laughter wherever he went.
He now rests in peace alongside his beloved wife Catherine Sandbulte and his parents Kenneth and Florence Sandbulte.
Lauren’s memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. May the love he shared and the joy he brought be a source of comfort to those who mourn his loss.
