Lois Van Beek

     Lois Van Beek, age 76, of Bradenton, Florida formerly of Hull, Iowa passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021.

     Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.  Burial will follow the service in Hope Cemetery in Hull, Iowa.  To watch the service click on the link: Lois Van Beek Service

     Lois I. Van Beek, 76, of Bradenton, passed away August 22, 2021. Born in Hull, IA she moved to Bradenton in 1970. She attended the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church. Lois was born on January 12, 1945 to Arthur and Jeanette (Bouma) Van Beek. She attended the Sioux Center Christian School, Western Christian High School, graduated from Dordt College and received her Master's Degree from Michigan State University. Lois taught in Christian Schools for many years. Her teaching career began in Michigan and in 1970 she moved to Florida where she taught at Bradenton Christian School until retirement. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering in the BCS Elementary Computer Lab. While teaching at BCS, she also coached volleyball, basketball, and softball where she brought the softball team to a state title. Lois touched many lives in her years of service at Bradenton Christian. Lois also loved music and sang in the church choir, directed the children's choir and directed the Magic of Manatee Sweet Adeline chorus for many years. 

Lois is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Gilmer, her sister, Myrna and an infant sister, Joyce Elaine.
