Lois Wichers

     Lois I. Wichers age 78, of Sioux Center, Iowa died Monday, March 9, 2020 at Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center.

     Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, IA with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating.  Burial will follow at the Carmel Cemetery.

     Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 the morning of the service at the Carmel Reformed Church of Carmel, IA.

     Memorials may be directed to Royale Meadows Care Center.

Lois I. Wichers was born January 14, 1942 in Sioux Center, IA to John and Tracy (Van Bruggen) Vander Schaaf. She was raised on a farm west of Sioux Center and attended Western Christian school. On May 2, 1961 she was united in marriage to Leon Wichers in Luverne, MN.

     Lois was a member of the Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, Iowa.   Lois enjoyed the Christmas season, especially decorating for Christmas. She kept her home tidy and enjoyed visiting with anyone around her. Her family will remember her as a funny Grandma who loved to laugh.

     She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Leon Wichers of Sioux Center, IA; sons, Leroy (Wanda) Wichers of LeMars, IA and Lyndon (Rose) Wichers of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Lori (Mike) Cain of Big Sky, MT; nine grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

     Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tracy Vander Schaaf; and brother, Don Vander Schaaf.
