Loren Harold Kleinwolterink was born March 1, 1945 to Harold and Eldora (Huitink) Kleinwolterink in Seattle, Washington.   He grew up in Sioux Center and graduated from Sioux Center Community School.   Following high school he continued his education at Iowa State University.

On February 24, 1967, Loren was joined in marriage to Ann Dorene Wynja in Ireton, Iowa.   The couple lived for five years near LeMars, Iowa before moving to Sioux Center where they continued farming with Loren’s father Harold. Later, Loren worked for Hubbard Feeds and Schuiteman Farms. He continued working in agriculture with Pioneer Seeds, City View Farms, and Jake Franken Custom Inc. up until his passing.

Loren was a longtime member of Central Reformed Church. He loved being outdoors in all seasons. Snowmobiling, boating, camping and fishing were hobbies he enjoyed throughout his life. “Klink” could often be found laughing with friends, telling stories with his brothers, or cheering on (or yelling at) the Iowa State Cyclones. He also enjoyed the yearly trips with Ann and the P&H Wholesale group. His most cherished times were spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Kleinwolterink of Sioux Center; four children and their families: Kelly and Shawna Kleinwolterink of Tea, SD and their children Keegen and Karsyn; Kari and Joe Van Tol of Rock Valley and their children, Tairin, Amanda and Clay; Koty and Mick Vande Griend of Sioux Center and their children, Lauren, Joren and Jack; Kembe and Mandi Kleinwolterink of Humble, TX and their children, Lillian, Ethan and Noah.
