   Marvin “Marv” Lee Van Beek, age 51, of Ireton, Iowa died on Monday, July 28, 2020, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

     A memorial service will take place at 2:00PM, Monday, August 3, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, Iowa, with Rev. Wick Hubers officiating. Due to the current conditions of social distancing, a very limited number of chairs will be available.

     Marvin “Marv” Lee Van Beek was born February 26, 1969 in Orange City, Iowa, the son of Alvis and Linda (Graves) Van Beek. He grew up in Sioux Center and attended Sioux Center Community School.  After his education he worked for various farmers in the area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and competing in Dart League. He participated in many National Dart Tournaments in several place across the United States. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He recently was diagnosed with liver disease and later developed Hodgkin Lymphoma.

     Marv is survived by his two children, Hunter Van Beek of Mitchell, SD and Haley Van Beek of Maurice, IA and their mother, Kaydra Van Skike; father, Alvis Van Beek of Sioux Center, IA; mother, Linda Graves of Butterfield, MN; step-siblings, Melissa Toering of Aurora, CO, Jason Toering of Sioux Falls, SD and Michelle Toering of Lafayette, LA; and many aunts, uncles and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Gertrude (Van Voorst) Van Beek; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Louise Graves; step-mother, Shari Van Beek; step-mother, Marlene Van Beek; uncle, Randy Graves; two nephews, Kaden and Chaz Toering; and cousin, Eric Graves.
