Myron C. Siebrecht was born on September 27, 1950, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Maurice and Sena (Bruns) Siebrecht.  He graduated from Odebolt High School, where he participated in sports and band.  He was proud to have been first chair clarinet.    He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1972, with a degree in accounting and his first job was with McKesson Robbins in Fargo, North Dakota, as a regional accountant for two years.

While working in Fargo, Myron was united in marriage to Bonnie Currie on December 30, 1972.   The couple moved to Storm Lake, where Myron worked for a CPA firm and received his CPA certificate.  He later managed an office in Sioux Center and eventually ended up buying the firm.  The firm became Siebrecht and Co. PC and he loved serving and helping his clients and truly cared for each of them.

Myron and Bonnie were blessed with three children.  Myron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family and was always thinking of them first. “Grandpa Houdini” dearly loved his grandchildren. They always brought a HUGE smile to his face.  The family all have so many happy and funny memories of him.

Myron loved to camp, hunt deer, turkeys and pheasants, golf, bowl, eat and always had times for sweets (lovingly known as “the candy man”).  He was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church where he served on the council and served as the treasurer for many years.

He is survived by his wife of more than 48 years, Bonnie of Sioux Center, two sons: Ben and his wife, Trista of Boyden, Iowa and Nick of Johnston, Iowa; three grandchildren: Jenna, Logan and Chloe Siebrecht as well as nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.

Preceding Myron in death are his son, William Mc Gregor Siebrecht; parents; grandparents and a brother, Don Siebrecht.

He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
