Oscar Gutierrez

       Oscar Gutierrez, age 43, of Le Mars, IA died Monday, August 31, 2020 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

     A Mass of Christian burial be we held at 10:30AM on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rock Valley, IA with Father Douglas Klein officiating. Public graveside service will follow the service in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Rock Valley at 11:30AM.

     Public visitation will be Thursday, September 10^th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center, IA. A Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM.

     Oscar Gutierrez was born July 10, 1977 in Los Angeles, CA to Nicolas and Maria Gutierrez. He grew up and received his education in Pasadena, CA.

   Oscar later moved to Sioux Center, Iowa, with his family, and worked at SiouxPreme Egg Products Inc. in Sioux Center. He was currently living in Le Mars, Iowa and was employed at Smith Co. Side Dump Trailers.  

   He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and working on cars. A good day’s work was best celebrated with a good beer.

   He is survived by his significant other, MaryAnne Arancel of Le Mars; his four children: Dominic Gutierrez, Isabella Gutierrez, Sophia Gutierrez, Adriana Gutierrez; four siblings: Jose (Patty) Gutierrez of Sioux Center, Griselda Gutierrez of Pasadena, CA, Robert (Victoria) Gutierrez of Victorville, CA, Jose Madrid of Sioux Center and his many nieces and nephews.

   Oscar is preceded in death by his parents: Maria and Nicolas Gutierrez; brother Juan Manuel Gutierrez; grandparents, Epifanio and Delfina Romero; uncle, Moises Romero and aunt, Rosa Romero.
