Rosanna Klarenbeek

     Rosanna Klarenbeek, age 93 of Sheldon, Iowa died Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence in Sheldon.

     Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with Pastor Dave Van Kley, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.

    Visitation will be Tuesday, June 8^th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with family present at the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

     Rosanna K. Klarenbeek was born January 24, 1928, to John and Tracy (Remmerde) Prins on a farm between Sioux Center and Carmel.  She was raised on a farm North of Carmel and attended Country School through the 8^th grade. 

     On March 22, 1951 Rose was united in marriage to Herman Klarenbeek at the Carmel Reformed Church.  To this union, five children were born: Horris, Calvin, Rodney, Arlis and Linda.  She lived in Sioux Center for 12 years after marriage then made her home in Sheldon, Iowa. 

     In the past Rose worked for Sheldon Community Schools as a janitor.  She was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church of Sheldon.  She taught Sunday School for the littlest children and sang in the church choir.  She enjoyed stitching, crocheting, sewing, growing plants, and outings with her sister.  Most of all she loved her grandchildren and children.

     Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Calvin (Jan) Klarenbeek of Hull, IA, Rodney (Sue) Klarenbeek of Larchwood, IA, Arlis (Dave) Mulder of Vinton, IA, and Linda (Marv) Mulder of Boyden, IA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lenore Prins of Sioux Center, IA, brother, Stan (Linda) Prins of Carmel, IA; sister-in-law, Violet Prins of Lakewood, CA; along with many extended relatives and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; son in infancy, Horris; and brothers, Martin (Wilmina) Prins and Melvin Prins.
