Willard G Vande Hoef

 Willard Vande Hoef age 74 of Sioux Center, Iowa died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Crown Pointe Care Center in Sioux Center. 

 Memorial services will be 9:30 AM Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with Reverend Roger Voskuil, officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.   There will be a time of visitation starting at 9AM at the funeral home. 

 Willard “Bill” Gene Vande Hoef was born on September 26, 1949, to John and Grace Vande Hoef in Le Mars, IA and was raised in Sioux Center, IA on the farm.    

Bill served in the Vietnam War serving with the United States Navy where he worked on the USS Hancock. 

Bill lived much of his time in Sioux Center and then later in Alton, IA and was an owner operator for Vande Hoef Trucking. Many know him for owning Pucci’s Pizza Family Restaurant in the 80’s.

Bill enjoyed traveling and camping with friends and would travel to Arizona during the winter months.   

Bill is survived by three children: Angie Smallwood (Brandon), Ben Vande Hoef (Amanda), and Waylon Vande Hoef (Michele). Six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother: Jan Van Bochove (Hank), Harlan Vande Hoef (Rochelle), Deb Van Bruggen (Roger), and Bev Hooyer (Allen) many nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents John and Grace Vande Hoef and brother Marvin (Marv) Vande Hoef.
