Jerry Jurrens, a native of George, IA, came to work for Rich Roste in 1996 after receiving his bachelor of science degree in morturary science from the University of Minnesota. 


Jerry also holds a B.S. in economics from South Dakota State University. In 2005, after nine years as a funeral director with the Rostes, Jerry and his wife, Amy, purchased six funeral homes from the Rostes. In 2011, they purchased Bolin Funeral Service from John and Joyce Bolin, and with that acquisition, they began serving at the Little Rock location.


In 2017, Jerry purchased Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center from the Memorial Funeral Home Cooperative.   


Jerry and Amy (also a native  of George) currently live in George with their two children: a son, Conner, and a daughter, Lauren.

Brian Jensen, a resident of Rock Rapids, moved from Waseca, MN, and began serving families at our funeral homes in 2003. He is a native of Estherville, IA, and his wife, Jessica, is a native of Emmetsburg, IA. Brian and Jessica have three children: a son, Nolan, and two daughters, Tatum and Lainee.

Brad Jensen graduated from the Worsham School of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL, with a Mortuary Science Degree in 1993. 


He served his apprenticeship in the Chicago area with M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, where he stayed on as a licensed funeral director until 1996. He then relocated to Wells, MN, and continued his career as a funeral director for nine years at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home before moving to Sibley in 2005.


Brad, a native of Estherville, IA, and his wife, Janelle, a native of Spirit Lake, IA, have two children: a son, Alec, and a daughter, Jadyn.

Angela Selzer graduated from Des Moines Area Community College Mortuary program in 2013.  


She is a native of Melvin, IA, and apprenticed with Jurrens Funeral Homes during her mortuary program studies. She then joined the staff as a full-time funeral director.   


She and her husband, Brandon, recently moved back to Melvin with their four children: Bryce, Kaisha, Harper, and Ava.

Brett Jacobsen, a George High School alum, continued his education at Dakota State University in Madison, SD, and later at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, TX, where he graduated with honors as the Salutatorian. 


His career in funeral service has led him to serve in several different communities in the South and Upper Midwest. Most recently, he was Executive Director of Brown Wilbert, a funeral supply company, and he headed up Jacobsen Consulting, where he helped improve the quality and service of existing family firms with a desire to become better. 


He is very excited about coming back to serving families in smaller communities, where people are generally more down to earth and have a strong faith. 


Brett has made his home in Sioux Center with his childhood sweetheart and bride, Jan (Hall), also a George native.  The couple will both be working with the Jurrens Funeral Homes and Memorial Funeral Home; Brett as a Funeral Director and Jan as a Prearrangement Specialist. 


He enjoys golf, biking, jogging, fishing, and going to movies with his daughters, Jessica and Jennifer. His 6-year-old granddaughter Sophia is the apple of his eye and gets anything she wants from Grandpa and Grandma "Jake." 


Brett has been active in Kiwanis, serving as President of his local clubs three times, and Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota and the Dakotas Division 16. He is very involved in a Prison Ministry called REC (Residents Encounter Christ) and has been for much of the past 26 years. The couple are miniature dachshund enthusiasts and have three, named Boudin, Bella, and Noni!

Rob Kock is a native of Lennox, SD. He attended Northwestern College and North American Baptist Seminary. He is a longtime resident of Sioux Center. 


Rob worked at the funeral home from 2004 - 2015 and has recently joined the staff again as a full-time assistant. Rob and his wife, Jody, (Sjaarda) have two girls named Jenna and Cora.

Art Franken is a farmer by trade but has assisted at Memorial Funerael Home since 1992.  


He is a former president of the board of directors and served on the board for three consecutive terms.  


Art and his wife, Marlene, have three grown children, eight grandchildren, and are now great-grandparents.

Reverend Roger Voskuil recently retired after 41 years of full-time ministry.  His most recent ministry position was at First Reformed Church of Sioux Center. 


Rog and his wife, Kathy, have three grown children and a number of grandchildren. 


He currently enjoys providing pulpit supply for area churches and assists with funerals at Memorial Funeral Home.

Ardith Lein recently retired from the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce after serving as the executive director for 24 years.  


She and her husband, Dave, live in Sioux Center and have six children and a number of grandchildren.  


Ardith began working for Memorial Funeral Home in 2014.
